Our Children’s Ministry exists to witness the message of Christ with the children of our community.Equip them to be life-long disciples in relationship with each other and the community of believers.Provide them opportunities to serve Christ and neighbor.Encourage them to worship the true and living God.

First Presbyterian Church highly values and cherishes the awesome responsibility of witnessing the message of Jesus Christ in fellowship with the children of our church family and this community.Our staff and volunteers are committed to equipping the youngest of His flock to be life-long disciples in relationship with each other and the community of believers.We realize and honor the uniqueness of each of God’s children and strive to use every opportunity available in our ministry to share the Good News in a way that will impact and transform children’s lives in service to Christ.We realize that children learn best through experience.The educational opportunities and programs within our Children’s Ministry are current with culture and provide children hands-on learning and worship opportunities within creative and exciting learning environments.Our program offers children and families a fantastic privilege to be an integral part of God’s disciple-growing program.

Throughout the month of January we had 4 different camps come and share. We hope you will consider particpating in a residential Christian camp expereince this summer. Take a look at the “GO TO CAMP THIS SUMMER” promotion and fill out a Registration Payment/Scholarship Request Form. Please let todd@firstchurch-winchester.org know if you are planning to go. We would like to recognize and celebrate all the children and youth going to camp this summer, and we would like to help connect families who are interested coordinating with other families on camp week, transportation, etc.
SERVICE OPPORTUNITY FOR ELEMENTARY FAMILIES The Elementary children have been preparing Breakfast bags to share with the less fortunate in the Mission Workshop of our current rotation. We will be delivering the bags to people who live in local hotels with Teens Opposing Poverty on Saturday, February 18th. We will be meeting at the church at 9:30am. Please let me know if your family would like to attend and help as we seek to Serve God in a Big Way. Vacation Bible School: Mark your calendars. The date for VBS has been set. Sunday, June 24-Thursday, June 28. The plan is to have a traditional 5 day VBS, but include a family-oriented time as part of our close. UPWARD SPORTS LEAGUES: Upward Sports, the world's largest Christian sports league for children, provides a fun kids sports experience based on healthy competition.Registration brochures for flag football can be found by the Children’s Ministry bulletin board.Everyone participating must attend an evaluation session between February 3-12.
