Communion, also known at the Lord’s Supper, is the sign and seal of eating and drinking in communion with the crucified and risen Lord Jesus Christ. The invitation to communion is extended to all who have been baptized, remembering that access to the communion table is not a right conferred upon the worthy, but a privilege given to the undeserving who come in faith, repentance, and love.
First Church celebrates communion weekly in public worship on Sundays at 7:30 a.m. in Boyd Chapel. First Church celebrates communion monthly in public worship on Sundays at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary.
