First Presbyterian Church welcomes all persons who respond in trust and obedience to God’s grace in Jesus Christ and desire to become part of the membership and ministry of Christ’s Church.
An active member of the congregation is someone who has made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, has been baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, has been received into the membership by the church’s leadership, has voluntarily submitted to the government of the church, and participates regularly in the church’s work and worship through the giving proportionately of his or her talents, time and money.
Eight-week membership classes are held each spring and fall during the Sunday School hour.
